January 2016

Book of the month for January: Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell.

Wow, I can't believe how great this book is. It's relatively short, but even after reading it multiple times, it's a page-turner for sure! This is the story of an Indian girl who was stranded for years on an island after the rest of her tribe left. It is based on the true story of Juana Maria.

(As I've said before, the goal of this blog isn't to give an extensive review or the basic storyline of the book; I just want to recommend titles, and hopefully you'll go read the book yourself to learn what it's about.)

I hope you will read an enjoy this book. If have, please leave a comment and tell me (and other readers) what you think!

HAPPY 2016!

P.S. The annual RootsTech Conference is coming up! For more on that, click HERE. If you can't watch the day of, parts of the event will be video recorded and translated into multiple languages. Enjoy!
